The Berchtesgaden dining room is definitely something special, excellent food, courteous service, reasonable price / performance ratio. We spent a wonderful evening here after our wedding and felt very comfortable. Thank you.

We spent a very nice evening here with high quality and very well handcrafted food. The price is absolutely okay for this quality. But it has to be clear to you that two people cannot "reasonably" dine here in the double-digit euro range. If you choose a 4-course menu, in my opinion you will be full. The service is very friendly and tries to ensure that the guests have a nice evening. Reservation is definitely recommended.

If you look at the price-performance ratio it becomes critical. The food is good, but I eat in my home country (in the beautiful Taubertal) for half the price in the same quality. With an Alpine bonus, it still seems overpriced by 30%. Ultimately, however, this is a business topic and may also be necessary. The ambience and the atmosphere was not for me, but if you can get something out of the contrast of mint-green strips and dark wood mixed with a little loud babble from the kitchen, you might even consider it a success. For me, that leaves nothing overall.

Delicious dishes, friendly staff and very nice atmosphere. The highlight is the room with view in the kitchen where you see that everything is cooked by one chef : impressive !

We have been here several times for dinner under the previous owner. So of course we wanted to try the restaurant from the new owner. Ambience is still beautiful and inviting. The service is excellent. Our menu was very good. The only thing is the very high prices. We love to spend money on food, but in some places that's a bit too much.

At the beginning we were warmly welcomed by the Kühbeck family, who run the “dining room” for two. Basically there is the possibility to take a seat at the two "kitchen tables". From these two high tables you look directly into the open kitchen. Otherwise you take a seat in the next room, which is equipped with 5 tables. The loving decoration creates a cozy atmosphere in which you immediately feel comfortable. Ms. Kühbeck provided good service with her charming and courteous manner. The menu offers various menus, which are also variable. Thanks to Mr. Kühbeck's fresh, regional products and first-class culinary skills, creative, tasty and coordinated dishes are served that are well worth their price. A wine accompaniment, which was offered to our menu, was also selected excellently. The nice thing is that you are not just "a guest of many". All in all, I can only recommend the location, anyone who values ​​quality.

Very good food and a friendly service. The map is not too big, but there should be something for everyone. The prices for meat dishes are in my view tends to be too high (I had deer for 36 euros). A nice evening. Gladly again.

A must dining experience should you visit the area. Charming restaurant with intimate seating and lighting yet not too close to other diners. Greeted by the Chef and his attentive staff. We did not make a reservation HOWEVER I would recommend you do. Quality menu with both delicate and rich flavours. Recommended wines available for each course too - My husband and I had a wonderful evenng dining here.

Maximillian is a terrific chef and host, extremely interested in the food he prepares for his guests. We ate here twice during our visit to Berchtesgaden and Maximillian catered for my vegan request easily. In fact he went out of his way to prepare a special meal for me on the 2nd visit. That's service! The food was fantastic and wine selection excellent. A great host.

We were there with 24 people and there was applause for the chef Mr. Kühbeck. Excellent kitchen, very professional service, it was not only great, also excellent tasted. The prices are also appropriate for the quality. For connoisseurs highly recommended.

I am sorry but I must say it’s a disappointing dining experience. First, I found this restaurant based on the 4.9 marks in google, the environment is nice. However, the service was not as good as expected, the waitress was not professional, when we asked her what is your recommendation, she said it depends on what you like and that's it. We ordered two winter truffles seasonal dishes with ravioli and the other one with beef, we thought it should be a great experience. But the truffles were taste a little bit difference, they didn’t have any truffles favour, meaning they were a bit hard, indeed, in the whole dish, we could taste one or two pieces with nice truffles flavour. The most disappointment to make me write this review was when the waitress asked whether we liked the dinner. We honestly told her the problem of the truffle and she suddenly pull a long face and said okay! Without asking further or saying anything. I am sorry to tell you this is not a behaviour we would expect from a restaurant at this price range. We were celebrating 1st anniversary with my boyfriend and we were longing for this dinner. We were so unhappy and disappointed. Trust me, this is my first review in google for my entire life, can you imagine how bad this experience was to make me write this review during my anniversary dinner?

Absolutely wonderful little place, a true hidden gem. The food was really, really great and inventive - clearly a talented chef who wanted to run his own place. The place was small and for most of the dinner we were the only customers, I hope more people start coming here and the place stays open for our next visit!

Wonderful restaurant with a chef that caters to local cuisine. Highly recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed the set menu and wine pairing. English speaking staff was very helpful and attentive.

If you want to try the best cuisine in Bavaria, then here you are. Author's dishes. Everything is very tasty and original. Unusual gourmet tastes in traditional European cuisine. Snacks maximum 15 euros, main course up to 30

If this is punishment ...then anytime: Only reason i discovered this "Secret" was due to the fact that i arrived 30m late to my date with Cxxxxxxxx. She had her pick of restaurants.....and she chose Esszimmer. We were seated directly in front of the kitchen..no magic here...you watch Maximilian (the chef) conjure your meal in front of your eyes.... Have to warn you..it distracts from your date:-) Dinner was exquisite..the dessert a dream.... Das Resümee: Sometimes a mistake can end in heaven ;-)

A relatively new spot open just last autumn. Expect this to be on the short list for Michelin stars. Exquisite fine dining. The chef is creative and gifted. Everything on the plate works harmoniously to deliver a palate experience that mirrors the beauty of presentation. The herbs and vegetables are so fresh and tasty that even in a plate with a perfect flavorful succulent piece of lamb they manage to steal the show. Service is warm and attentive and the dining room is beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
